  • hmm... perplexing... i don't quite get what you mean... perhaps if you start again and see if you get the same result.

  • Reading back that did made little sense, sorry about that! I'll try and explain again:

I have texture-painted the top half of the model, which looks great. *I think I'm missing a step here?* I next want to paint the top. To do this, I move the projection of the ship in the UV/Image editor to the picture of the bottom of the ship -> !! This instantaneously has the effect of repainting the bits I have already painted with the bottom part of the ship (where the net lies in the UV editor).

    Thanks

  • ok well did you continue to follow the tutorial after that... because i think the missing step is AFTER you do that. then you need to reselect the UV you wish to be drawn in the view.

  • @PhyraxDesigns even worse is when there's the mic static/squeak noise, and they bumble about, not seeming to know what they're doing... not saying that hamsterhill is doing that, but you know which ones I'm talking about! ;)

  • @hamsterhill NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A SAIYAN

    You+vegetavoice=EPIC TUTORIAL

  • I've tried this step by step but each time I go to paint from another view, the view I just got done painting, gets all messed up, I don't see what I"m doing wrong.

  • "Hmm, texture painting? I'm new to Blender and this sounds pretty interest - HOLY crap! It's Firefly!"

  • It's Serenity!

  • wow i had no idea blender had this hidden all along o.O we may all have to go BACK to 2.xx and start reading the developers notes.

  • great tutorial but i just can't get the texture button to do the clone stuff, still got the grid and the "set rendering" ones.

  • Great tutorial thank you. but damn it you made me really miss Firefly and Capt tight pants!

  • This help me a lot.

    Thanks.

  • you don't know how grateful I am for this tutorial. I modeled an AK-47 but had problems with the whole seaming and unwraping, and what was worst, making the skin only with the UV map result was a real pain on the eyes (rly, MY EYES not my ass) I couldn't stop thinking: there must be a reasonable "easier way" to do this. and thanks to you now i know it. thank you.
