Yes, we rub it in with our finger to make sure the glitter is well-embedded in the body glue. Otherwise, your glitter tattoo is not going to last very long. As long as your hands are clean, there is nothing wrong with rubbing someone's skin with your finger. You pick up more germs from grabbing a doorknob to leave your house than you would from someone's clean hands. Professional make-up artists use their finger to apply dabs of glitter, etc... Restaurant workers use bare hands to preare food

dude u did it all rong u USE A BRUSH NOT UR FINGA OMG PLUS U HAD TO TAKE OFF THE STENICL THEN GLITTER

There's no wrong way to do it if the end result is good. We have tried both ways and have found that brushes get gummy if you use them to appy glitter instead of a poof bottle. And we found that you get a crisper outline when you apply the glitter over the stencil and remove it later. Your method is fine if it works for you. But this method works best for us after having tested many different methods.
