Mônica Coteriano presents in “Everything one can do with one finger” a provoking and irreverent performance that question what the audience expects when seeing a performance.The text is said in a cold way almost inexpressive which is the instigator to the collective imagination of the audience who is lead in a hilarious way by Coteriano’s intelligent text collage: “What I say is what you see.”A sensual figure is on stage with her back facing the audience in a pin-up steady pose portraying a sculpture. The expectation grows during the spoken word performance that travels from being hypnotic, to dance, to music and after shunting lines and winding ways finally the question/reason of the performance is made and again in a careful search through subtle crosswords: “Do you want to know what I can do with one finger? ... Or on the other hand… What the finger did to me?”Everything you can do with one finger is a magical, emotive, and without a doubt a pertinent performance.
