wow! im from ireland and this is so similar to irish gaelic. :O had no idea there was such a thing as scottish gaelic. i understood that and ive never been to scottland in my life!! lol

True infact it has shown the bilingual people or multilingual people have many benifets for one education and also that it is good for ones mental health. Tests have shown that monolingual people suffer earlier and more often from demetia and also have it much tougher if they would ever later in life need to learn a new language then those who could speak at least two as young.

Hi Sam - They are trying to revive Cwmbraic in Cumbria at the moment. It's been extinct for about 800 years or so now.

Also, in Cornwall - there are a good few Cornish speakers which is another celtic language. There is only about 300 fluent speakers - so it's on shaky ground.. But there are many more who have started to learn the language (A few thousand), on top of those 300 who are fluent. You can help preserve them. They are all a part of your history and it is a shame that they are gone.
