Ready to impress the ladies (or visa versa!)?



Then you better be able to do a few push ups!

If you have ever watched a high school team warm up that includes push ups, then you know what I'm talking about. Half the push ups are done poorly and the other half hurt my vision even to look at.

Somehow push ups received a bad rap for being "boring." That's a load of crap! You can spice up push ups a thousand different ways.

Now onto my point. We had an athlete preparing for the West Point physical fitness test and he needed to increase his push up number (I believe he ended up testing at 78 in a minute after starting at 50). So we started sprining in different variations, jail yard push ups, sun dial push ups (from BullStrength.com) and plyometric push ups.

Here is what the Synergy Plyo Push Up Challenge looks like:

Push Up Challenge
3 Knee claps (working up to the feet for an Aztec push up)
6 Thigh claps
9 Chest claps
12 Claps
15 Regular push ups
These 45 push ups are killer but do-able! Try this challenge out for yourself. If you can't complete it, try altering the numbers to 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. (in the video below we used a thin piece of foam to absorb the inpact, but it makes the push ups harder since it also absorbs the pressing force).

  • Dont do that shit with making the link filling the whole screen. I have respect for u hashey, but that it just annoying. really gets me pissed. ( i know, it's a small, small problem)

  • @Workhard1994 I will gladly remove the google ads when you do one of two things: 1)Come up with another solution to fund the videos (equipment, time, expertise etc) 2. Start doing your job for free because that's what you are asking of us. If you get "pissed" over a google ad funding our videos we provide free of cost to you feel free to watch other videos, that's the beauty of youtube. PS. you can easily collapse the ad by clicking the "x" instead of complaining.

    My personal goal is to get 50 regular clapping pushups in 1 set. At 39 now.

    Also trying to do 25 behind-back clapping pushups but only at 17.

  • @jhashey I always watch them! I should say thanks for posting. I like this stuff way better than the average bodybuilding shit, because it's way better for athletes like my self :)
