The Israel Palestinian Issue is summarized nicely by Christopher Hitchens in the video on my channel. It's my 3rd or 4th favorite. Take a listen..it's only 5 minutes long...the most important content being in the last 2 minutes.

I challenge you to listen to this video. LOGIC can and should be used to solve this problem.

It was a reasonable commentary on a variety of issues. Hitchens has a bit of a knack for lasering in on the worst case outcomes of the influence of organized religion in the world. It seemed to me to be a bit of an aside about the conflict though, using it as an emphasis of another point instead of focusing on it very substantially. (which is fine, his speech wasn't focused on the issue in any case) I think the logic has been achieved already by many, it's the compulsion that's lacking.

anyhow good video, when you showed the UN votes it would have been nice if you had it 2/X (x being the number of other nations) alot of people dont have a sense of the scale of the UN.

I do think that some of the actions by Palestinians have been terrorism. random rocket attacks bus bombings ect aren't legitimate tactics, but regardless I generally agree with what the video is emphasizing.

Yes, but I think I did state that 137 member states & 143 member states had voted for the respective resolutions.

Yes some of the actions of the Palestinian have been terror, but the use of Palestinian RETAIL terrorism in the face of Israeli WHOLESALE terrorism, after having exhausted other means could also be seen as acts of desperation.

It's a matter of scale certianly, which is Israel

vs Palestine 100:1 in terrorism and economic strangulation (a war crime) which causes far more deaths than the either side's violence.

a lot of the talk of honorable vs dishonorable war is opportunistic.

honorable war is defined as whatever you need modern military hardware to engage in successfully, very similar to how the British in the American revolutionary war considered our guerrilla tactics as dishonorable. They wanted our troops to stand in lines for fire exchanges. (a strategy that would have guaranteed failure)

I won't make exceptions for when terrorism is OK though, yet perspective is critical to my comprehensive evaluation of things. Israel has no excuse, they can stop whenever.

You start off by highlighting the passionate aspects of both sides supporters. I don't agree that isreali-supporters just call their intellectual opposition bigots. You first complain of over simplification, then you oversimplifiy. I find it very difficult for a well-read intelligent individual to not see how both parties contribute to this problem. Your frame window of what you consider is the beginning allows ppl to take side. While you plea for reason, you post lacked logic and reason.
