Yes they truly have the Magic. This song reminds me of going over to Eastern Missouri around Tom Sauk Mountain;
and to all those little towns over there around Pilot Knob /Acadia/ Farmington
etc. that used to be full of kids in the 70's. with long hair and a party to go to.
Where did it all go?

@Chief122 oh god what happened to music

Good song, I think they were glad to finish it. But you the lead guitarist sure looks like Pete Townsend of 'The Who"; both his face and facial expressions. I keep seeing "Pete"....

@milkshaker74 where the heck did you get that idea? She looks nothing like him!!

@milkshaker74 nahh julia gillard isnt this awesome

The drummer - Stuart Tosh - appeared on Never Mind The Buzzcocks in 1997 in the Identity Parade round. Rather (in)appropriately it was a Christmas special.

This song brings back so many memories.

Thankyou so much for the memories. But right here, right now, etc. I'm teaching English in Japan. Doing the months of the year is easy enough, but I was asked to provide examples of songs in English that portrayed each month. This song came immediately to mind regarding the first month. Then I got stuck. Can anyone help me out for the other months? I've got: April sun in Cuba - Dragon One day in September - Mike Brady November Rain, etc. Compiling a good list is proving tough. Help.
Too many people see this band as a Rollers-type of band... pawns of manipulative management. Not so! These guys were all great players. Singer/bassist Davey Paton (he also played guitar on Magic) went on to Camel, Kate Bush, Fish, Elton John, Alan Parsons Project and still gigs around Edinburgh. Guitarist Bairnson also did Bush, McCartney, and all those wonderful solos on the Alan Parsons albums, with whom he still tours. Paton and drummer Stu Tosh are on the killer 'Camel - On the Road '82'.

Oh my God, I've just ben zapped back into my childhood. When my Mom(rip) used to put the top 20 on the radio every Sunday night. I embrace the magic those days had, along with great music compared to the crap out there now, which teaches kids.....nothing

I went to see them in early 1975, Smokie were the support act in Manchester. Great tune. Sadly the keyboard player died a few years ago.
