This is my condensed version of a basic disassembly of an M14/M1A rifle. The image quality isn't as good but it should be good enough to get the job done if you are following along with your own rifle.
Would you recommend this type of take down for a national match m1a? ive heard something about it being glass bedded or what not, and you shouldnt take it down that far...know anything about that? good vid btw
It's okay to do this once upon initial receipt to do an initial cleaning and lubrication job and should at least be broken down into the 3 main groups once a year, after 1500 rounds or if the rifle has been exposed to extreme elements (rain, mud, sandstorm, going from cold to hot environments which cause condensation from temperature change).
There is no need to break the rifle down between every range trip.
