JANUARY 2007: Snowy take-off from Portland International Airport's runway 10L-28R heading north-west across the Columbia River. Mount Hood is just visible in the distance but its summit is obscured by the low cloud cover. The airport had been closed for much of the morning due to a heavy snowstorm overnight. The aircraft was an Air Canada deHaviland DH8 turbo-prop heading to Vancouver (YVR).
Who thinks pdx is better than Seattle

Man that is a scary reminder of December 14, 2008, our 767 had to be de-iced twice..before heading off to maui. Seattle and PDX would eventually be closed...got stuck in maui coming back around X-Mas day.
