Charlotte stood on the back of my boot as I was leading her and the tread got pulled off it, so I rode Satin bareback without any shoes! I started riding him early in the morning and then it started to get pretty hot, so we finished off at about 80-90cm, very easy for him and I'm very happy with how he is going. I didn't cut any bits out, he's very honest, not one run-out or refusal at all. You can see when we got a bad spot he jumped it anyway, and a few times I lost my balance and he didn't try to get me off. A very honest horse, and such a fantastic jumper! The last clip is of my complete beginner boyfriend, Kale, riding him. Love this horse :)

  • was this the first time bareback on him? :D

  • @DeDoodIsHier13

The second time, but the first time I just walked him around the track bareback. I trust him, he's a good boy and he hasn't put a foot wrong so far!

  • does he rear buck bolt at all? he looks wonderful

  • @brookeluvsnjika

Not at all Brooke! He has a snaffle mouth for all phases, never rears, and he has never bucked with me but he did do a few tiny pigroots in his first few rides back after having a year off. He is sensible horse with a hard working attitude, would make a perfect pony club/ show jumper/ eventer for a teenager. You're welcome to come down and have a ride one day, Charlotte will be broken in soon

  • Do you have any tips on how to earn a horses trust? My sister is working with a QH mare and shes a bit spooky. If you'd like to see her look at my video called "Meet Promise". Thanks for your help. =)

  • Thats soo cool! I wanna ride like you oneday!

  • hey, you guys look awesome. One thing I've learned from my bareback lessons is that it helps to keep your legs as long as possible around the barrel without locking your legs (it gives you more grip and keeps you from pinching with your knees)

  • Is it scary jumping? I've never done it before, but always wanted to. Please help:)

  • How you do this, I don't know...

I always fall off when I try to do something like this- I ride an Arabian who is REALLY bumpy so I just slide xD

  • He looks so awesome, congrats! (:

  • wow :) satin seems to like jumping quite a bit ;) Although wasnt his trot really uncomfortable xD?

  • Forgive me for asking this if you've written it somewhere, but I was wondering, are you planning on selling him anytime in the future?

  • 67 likes 0 dislikes... might as well

  • He has some gorgeous movements! And your jumping style while bareback is testament to how good you must be at jumping in a saddle. I am VERY impressed =) I'd love to jump my horse bareback, but he's not big on the jumping as he has a front leg tendon injury, so it'll have to be with the dream.
