Dental Volunteers for Israel Serves Jerusalem's Children

For over 30 years, DVI (Dental Volunteers for Israel) has given free dental treatment to thousands of Jerusalem's children in need. Founded by Trudi Birger, it is the only clinic of its kind in Israel. It uses volunteer dentists to staff a state-of-the-art dental clinic and dental education program that serves 5-18 year olds from all Jerusalem's ethnic groups, including religious and secular Jews, Ethiopians, Palestinians, and others. As the current Director says, "We look at it as a seed of the next generation creating peace."

This is fabulous. It is threating people as humans, no matter what their race; after all they did not have much choice there, did they? To educate not only the children but their parents as well is a way to reduce the overall cost of medical and dental work a person will need throughout ones life. As a former denal asstist, I can tell you education is a must,

the free dental clinic is only for poor children, from age 5-18, but it does treat all children, regardless of race or religion. when you have compassion for a child in pain, you should not be judging the color of his/her skin or religion.

It is not good that Israeli clinic treating Palestinians, because more Palestinians would be attracted to Israel, and they will refuse to leave from our land. After all these treatments Arabs would hate Israel the same or even more, because they envy Jewish success, and because as nicest you are to them, they will become more nasty than they are.
