  • This song touches every bangli's Heart. I highly respect my culture and I hope it is alive as long as we live. If you are a person with heart then respect positives things like this.

  • As an indian it is only stupid to me how people love their country (india-Pak-Bang) so much but not the whole of india with its present and past.

  • @adori66 Oh, I appreciate the song. I think one of the best ever written. Tagore was a Hindu and I doubt he would've done as well in modern Bangladesh, and as he is one the biggest contributors to Bangladesh's art and culture I was merely lamenting the state of my birthplace; it's you who chose to defend the indefensible.

You're the one accusing me of making up bullshit, and if you'd ever been there you'd know I am right... or there is some serious cognitive dissonance in your mind.

  • @Ashitaka255 And to reiterate, this is a song. Do we really need to insult other religions and argue about religion over a song??? ? Is it too hard to appreciate a nice song simply for what it is and not drag religion and politics into it (politics from some of the other comments posted here)??

  • @Ashitaka255 Problem seems to be with those around you, not islam itself. If you have to blame something, blame your family/friends around you who're pestering you and making you feel guilty for not following what you don't believe in. & explain to them that you know better than the 2billion muslims in the world; and you don't follow their religion. Islam teaches "there is no compulsion in religion" so don't blame the religion for what the people around you are doing...

  • @adori66 I have no reason to LIE about my own damn country! Don't I want to proudly proclaim that I was born in Bangladesh? When I went to visit Bangladesh my mother closed the door and windows so no one would catch me eating in the middle of the day. During ramadan a lot of shops don't serve food and if they do you're made to feel guilty for eating. Even in fucking England I was pestered to fast. Accusing someone of having an agenda is easy, same as believing in a god but it's not true.
