Besuch eines Bockkäfers.wmv

Am Nachmittag des 1. Augusts 2011 hatten wir sympathischen Besuch von einem Bockkäfer. Wie Ihr im Film sieht ist es ein Prachtexemplar. Laut Beschreibung in Wikipedia war das ein Moschusbock. Die grün schillernde Farbe ist typisch für den Moschusbock. Der Moschusbock gehört zu den besonders geschützten Käferarten, weil die Lebensräume für die Larven immer weniger werden (Weiden, Pappeln, Erlen Auwälder und Erlenbrüche). Er kann ein Moschus artiges Sekret absondern, das früher zum parfümieren von Pfeifentabak verwendet wurde (Information aus Wikipedia).

On the afternoon of 1 August 2011, we had a nice visit from a long-horned beetle. As you can see in the film there is a fine specimen. According to the description of the Wikipedia was there a Musk Beetle. The iridescent green color is typical of the Musk Beetle. The Musk Beetle is one of the specially protected species of beetles, because the habitats for the larvae are becoming less (willow, poplar trees, riparian forests and alder swamps).
