most of the people cannot understand Stalin and will never, was he paranoid, without any doupt yess, was he crazy, nop less then Trotsky who wanted to attack Germany in 1920 lol. He did mush better that Lenin did of his living, Lenin ruined the country and killed 440 000 people in only 2 years, and send a few millions to working camps, it was the result of the reppression his economic politic, he fell guilty for it and then did his NEP, new economical politic (capitalism)

But like Mao it was a paradox, he ruled like the great king and emperor of the past in the name of the proletaria mass, he saw himself as Mao as a transition beetween the socialist republic and the old time of inequality and exploitation with savage calitalism, in the name of this principle, he knew his work was to send in working camp those who wanted the restauration of the old world who was gonna die, so he had no mercy for people of an old world and mentality who was gonna die.

@Fulltonic, Stalin was an ardent reader of political science and economy, of course he was a big fan of American movie and spagetthi western, but he had read Machiavelli like 30 times, and he did an application of his book without any doupt, he knew how to be a great leader, those who say he was an idiot just dont really know him and base their knowledge on stupid documentary on history channel, with the time he became a paranoid tyran but before that he was the man Russia had need.
