Looking at our recent trip to Normandy, where we had 2 camera motorcycles. I have used a new video editing software, so please be gentle with me, taken over 4 hours to get this on Youtube.
Small Screen - Client being followed by myself,
Main Screen - Following riders, who have bike to bike comms and can hear my commentary.
Main Screen Footage - Obtained by following video bike with another instructor riding it.

  • what software is this

  • It is Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9. Haven't got used to it yet as I have been using Pinnacle 9 for along time. But for just basic footage Windows Movie Maker does the job for Youtube.

  • Hi Nigel. Another informative video. Excellent style of instruction. They say the Police driving/motorcycling instructor coureses are the hardest in the police to pass. Likethe split screen view. Good to see your example of riding. Looking forward to meeting you if you still wish to visit Scotland in the New Year. I will be in touch. Kind regards. Gary.

It will have to be a must, there are a number of Youtubers who I can meet. It will be worth doing.

  • I find this very informative as you can see the first bikes position, which enables us to see what the second bike(main screen can see and they adapt, viwed via your cam, cracking footage and a must for bikers to see if they would position same.

Again you have given a positive approach for bikers.

  • Sauerland is roughly 5 hours from Calais.

For me, it's roughly 2-3 hours (Autobahn)

  • Perhaps a little slower for junctions? On a strait road I like to keep in and away from on coming cars. Just a bit too fast for me. Nice roads, looked like a cracking ride. Good video.

  • How far from Calais ?

  • Spent a few days riding in Sauerland last year. Not too bad for motorbikes and not too far away either ;)

If that is an invitation, I'll try and get over in 2010. I am in Normandy in April training and Northern France in June on a jolly looking at the Somme etc....But there are other dates, I will be in touch.

    Regards

    Nigel
