Those cracks look like water damage, from some intermittent source like drippy plumbing or a soggy roof. If they are and the water problem is still there, that texture won't stay new looking for long.

Negative. It was not caused but bad roof and there is no plumbing up there. But that is a good point and one must rule every option out.
