throwing me some attitude and getting sassy. He was having a bad day I guess. He does this once in a while and won't let me even touch him. He cools down eventually. Usually I just ignore him until he does, but for the sake of capturing on camera I did provoke him just a bit HAHA.

  • he's adorable! and his grumpiness makes me want to play with him even more! even though he is grumpy i would just grab him up and put him on my face like i do my cat and my ferret. but since i raised my cat and my ferret since they came out of their mothers' womb they both do not ever attack me like they would an ordinary owner (of a cat especially). i wish i had one but i dont know how to raise a skunk. :(

  • @k1n63d lol, its his Skunky PMS... it happens once or twice a month, he just gets super grumpy all day. I just let him be and he is usually back to his cuddly self the next day. They are a lot of work in the beginning. Rewarding, yes, but you have to be 100% into it.

  • I watched only few of your videos and you seem to have a good sense of tidiness and cleanness and your house reflects that. I often see people with small mammal pets living in places that look like a mess. My question to you is this. Have you trained Jasper to use a specific spot in the house for his "business"?

  • @Cwisiee Thank you! :) I try to keep everything off the floor to discourage Jasper from climbing/knocking it over. I have a few litter boxes throughout. Usually one to two per room that he spends the most time in depending on size of room. He will use these litter boxes 90% of the time. Sometimes he likes to rebel and pee in a different corner but its not often. They are just lined with newspaper/magazine paper and extremely easy to clean.

thanks! i like to raise my animals right out of the mother lol. i dont take them away but i get them used to my smell and voice right away. its always worked great and i get a bond stronger than the average pet owner.

  • @deatXbyXchocolate335 Each legal state has its own regulations. In Pa, you are required to purchase from an in-state USDA-licensed breeder. He doesn't have any offensive odor, just a slight musky smell. Not as bad as a ferret though, very tolerable and un-noticeable for the most part.

  • @Zomb131

Ohh, I see. And where did you get him? Does he smell at all?

  • @deatXbyXchocolate335 Have a vet remove the gland.

  • This may be a dumb question, but how do you keep him from.. spraying?

  • LOL he called you some really naughty names :)

  • @sdeck09 Awesome ^^
