Obituary:
RICHMOND, Ind. -- William J. Williams, age 50, of Richmond, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at his home. He was born May 29, 1960, in Richmond to Denzel and Mary Drew Williams. Bill was a 1978 graduate of Richmond High School. He was an MP in the U.S. Army for 10 years and was a Richmond Reserve police officer for two years. Bill worked at Star Corp and the Recycling Center. He worked in construction in Las Vegas where he lived for 20 years. Bill loved to hunt, fish and ride horses. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Bill played in a local band, "Wasted Daze." Survivors include his father and stepmother, Denzel and Debbie Williams; sons, Neal Williams (wife Rachel) and Ryan Williams, both of Richmond; sister, Lena Callahan (husband Brian) of Richmond; cousin and best friend, Barry Young (wife Barb) of Richmond; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Smith Williams; his mother, Mary Williams; aunt, Cleo Lee; and uncle, Ralph Williams. Visitation for William J. Williams will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Vonda Bishop and Rev. Louie Burkhart officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.

  • We all deal with grief in different ways .But I think its healthy to keep them in your thoughts and memories everyday ,to celebrte them rather than grieve the loss.Theyre here with us all the time ,trying to help us ,if you are open to it .oh yeh and Tim lived in that vest during the early days !!
