One gets the feeling this was part of Duffy's application to be a Tory senator. Good for him, now he gets paid more than he did as a reporter and he doesn't have to work anymore. Can't fault him for that. Now he can be lazy and eat all he wants, all the time. Who wouldn't want that?! Oh yeah, likely someone who wants to do something for the country they love other than enjoy their meals at taxpayers expense.
I can agree with a journalist having political bias but they should let the Canadian public know who they support. What I dont agree with is a WHOLE NETWORK that is obviously tory owned and operated. The whole network across the country is tory and they should be called on it and charged with campaign contributions to the tory party. The CBC leans toward Liberal and NDP but hey, that represents over 64% of Canadians where the CTV only represents approx 36% Canadians. BOYCOTT CTV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't really care about the fact that Duffy was a Tory all along. Let's not kid ourselves: journalists have political opinions. It'd be impossible not to given their line of work. Duffy is hardly the only one "guilty" of political bias.
What bugged me about Duffy was his overall dullness as a reporter and the fact that he was incapable of controlling his guests. Tom Clarke and Graham Richardson are miles ahead of him in journalistic capabilities.
