President Barack Obama says Congress needs to extend a payroll tax cut that will expire at the end of the year. The White House says taxes on the average family would increase by $1,000 if the cuts are not extended. (Dec. 5)

Unejoyment benefits were well unintended, but now corporations are hiring those getting benefits under the table and paying them less then what hiring that person on the books. basically making those not getting the benefits unemployable!

I don't get it why do tax cuts have to be paid for, the R's say that tax cuts promote growth thus pay for themselves so there is no need to offset them.
