This is a reel of nitrate film I bought on eBay for about £10 and have just had transferred by a specialist to DVD (not easy to find people who will work with 35mm films). Turns out it's a nice news clip. I've done some research and found out this was filmed on 28th October 1935, when the Lord Mayor of London (Sir Stephen Killik) visited the Mayor of Beckenham (Baron Josiah Stamp). Stamp was killed in The Blitz on 16th April 1941, along with his wife and son. His son is believed to have been the shortest-lasting Baron ever (possibly only a few seconds). Because his son is thought to have died a few seconds after his father, the family had to pay two lots of Death Duty. I hope this is a lost gem!
