2010 World Cup public viewing in bush village. The World Future Council Foundation organized a public viewing of the 2010 football World Cup in the non-electrified bush village of Oboadaka in Ghana. Powered by solar energy all group games of the Ghanaian national team were shown live to an enthusiastic audience in the village school. The WFC staged this singular event to point out the potential of renewable energies and to show the necessity of stronger political support for their uptake.
