Men used to have hundreds of wives (still done in many cultures e.g. Africa), it was a restriction NOT an open choice, in fact Quran says only marry 1 because it is very hard to do justice (emotional, financial etc) to all of them

@halflifeproductionz The true way to find a Caliph or one leader is also very democratic expcept that it's not a worldly thing but a matter of relgion. Seeking Gods help is necessary. And what has these MANY parties given you? Just many problems NOT solution. You have a lot to learn. Go to alislam.org and find out how a Caliph is selected in a true Islamic way. Peace!

@ImamTime excuse me but pledging allegiance to a caliph, a rule by one leader = dictatorship. In the west we have multiple parties in the politics and the people vote. Although america is a democra$y. You should look at australia or new zealand as a model example of a democracy in action.
