Easy for some, sure.
It all depends on your level of technical expertise, and how well you're tooled up for the job. Which is very difficult to gauge just from a random YouTube conversation.
Like I said in my last comment to cationmoted, there are lots of variables. Not the least of which, is the person asking the question.
But again, to anyone wondering about a transmission swap, Google is your friend... there have been countless different swaps done on this chassis.

@NFSPMotorsports its easy to swap trannys

@YooTubeEmployee Autocross is one of the easiest forms of motorsports to get into, the staff/participants are usually very friendly, and they won't give you a hard time for being new. Your best bet is to actually ask some of the more experienced people if they'll ride along with you, and give you some tips/coaching. Check out SCCA.org and find your local region, then you can find out when the next autocross is. Although 90% of the time, everyone there participates, they're OK with observers too.

Nice vid! I actually just bought a 87 Z31 from my neighbor recently. I like cars, but never have done any sort of racing or mods with any of my cars. Is autocross something easy to get in to? Or would I look like an idiot, being a 30 year man showing up and not knowing how to drive?

@yotaboy299 and u can get them fairly cheap, i got my 1986 300 zx for 800$, i am not putting the engine in the 1990+ 300zx in it, it should definately kill any autocross, or pretty much any 1984-89 300zx time lol

Lol thats a long name for a song.
Nice car but I wanted to hear the engine not some music soundtrack. So thumbs down for you.

@PentruRasaAlba Wow, really?!? Tumbs down just for that? Well, the car has a crap sounding stock exhaust, which you really couldn't hear anyway over the wind noise from autocrossing with the windows down and t-tops off... but if you would like to hear random crappy wind noise instead, I can upload version too.

Yes, but it is a fair amount of work.

That all depends on lots of variables, not the least of which is whether you do the work yourself, or hire it done.
Google is your friend ;)
