Lalo Schifrin is an amazing composer. This song was sampled by Portishead and became one of their biggest hits.

  • @juankenon They didn't rip it off, they *sampled* it. Lalo Schifrin was credited in the liner notes. Electronic music and hip hop frequently sample and loop music from other genres.

  • Such a great piece. LS is probably the best composer for Espionage and Suspense films. Ever.

  • The tune was originally released on the Mission Impossible album. Lots of good cuts other than the 5/4 signature theme.

  • @intrsoul A balalaika maybe? If it was a spy movie it would make sense to give it a Eastern European flavor.

  • what's that instrument that kind of rattles in the background?

  • NOBODY LOVES ME, ITS TRUE.....

  • Lalo Schifrin and John Barry made some of the coolest music of that period - and it remains so.

  • ...Not like u do....
