Young poets practice Americas founding principles of free speech and open expression at open mic poetry events. Busboys & Poets, a Washington restaurant owned by Iraqi immigrant Andy Shallal, provides a stage where individuals from all backgrounds come together to share their unique perspectives on various topics. Speaking from the heart through their poetry enables these artists to communicate and connect with other people helping to nurture a community of diverse voices.

Ill take Kant, Neitzsche, Hume, Hobbes etc over any Sophist poet.... They think they are saying something but they usually are not. Poetry and poets are wanna be philosophers, if they were actually intelligent enough to know what philosophy was.....

Poetry does for thought, what rap does for music.... It fucks it up....
