What a troll video. This is complete slathering bunk. I can't believe how far from reality this video is. Patents aren't bad, but they need to be for notably unique inventions. The vast majority of patents are grossly broad. Additionally, the system as it exists unfairly baises the system toward huge corps or those headed by lawyers. Starting a company, no matter how innovative, is an exercise in GETTING LUCKY that someone doesn't sue you for silly things like hyperlinks and online stores.

After much research, this company does represent NPE's afterall. While everything they state in this well-polished video is true (from a certain point of view), they try to deflect from the real problem issues when dealing with "business method" patents. Nice try, GPC. Luckily, less than 2,000 eyeballs have seen this smoke and mirrors attempt. Maybe Parker Brothers should sue you for trademark infringement for using their boardgame as a prop in this corperate "commercial." Good grief...

Truly pathetic and misleading. They don't mention the REAL problem. The patent system is broken and people have been able to patent absurd concepts and later sue for the sole purpose of greed. Did you know that Paul Allen has a patent on Alerting users to items of current interest? Know what he's doing with it? Suing everyone, of course! That's just ONE of the patents that show how pathetically broken the patent system is. It isn't hard to see how patent trolls use this for financial gain
