  • I just did a demo on a new john deere grader with the old style controls like this one here, and let me tell ya I used to like deere graders now I F&^%#@$& hate them, it was the biggest piece of crap out there!!!!!

  • A lot of people say stuff like that. But they never give an actual professional opinion or evaluation of the different variations that make them feel that way. Now a lot of CAT operators don't like em either. Now I loved the machine. Did everything I told it to. I think a lot of the problem with some people is the way the weight is balanced within the machine. If u noticed the way the frame on this MG extends straight out to the wheels. On the new deere's it is arched like a CAT.

  • I was a diehard cat grader guy (If I were to buy my own oneday) but after this summer and operating the 872D in heavy construction, I have to say I am sold on John Deere...I just wish they would put accumulators on like cat does

  • I'm glad to hear that. I am a John Deere fan myself. John deere has new controls for their graders that r sweet.

  • Its now a 772G.The 150hp JD772-A was introduced in 1979.

  • I saw a video an the new G controls. It looks sweet! Cannot wait to try out someday.

  • @cjminokc yes and thats another thing I hated about it, the arched frame. I can give a list of stuff I hated about the new deere and I run a cat right now, which I was never a fan of the Cat graders but after running that new deere I have a whole new perspective on the cat. I can give a professional opinion on what I didn't like about the new deere but there is not enough space on here to do so, and all I can say is whoever designed it never ran a grader before or they are just clueless.

  • @Hpangirl On a cat grader there are 2 nitrogen filled tubes that are used to take the hard impact shock off the blade when something solid like a rock or a manhole cover is hit, good to have, can keep from breaking the blade

  • @CDNcatskinner hello, i just want to ask you what are "accumulators"? ok thanks!!

  • Thanks, I used to run a 670B at my old job.
