Cwejman rules!

That's what I call sound synthesis! Mellotron tape recordings or sampling don't make me excited... But this is the real deal! Thanks for posting!. Great advertisement for Cwejman modules as well!

@Meteotrance: I was reminded of the Mixturtrautonium. :)

Cool video.
A simpler vocal sound can be made by ring modulating 2 pulses, sync one to the other and turn up the pitch of the synced oscillator. Oohs and aahs can be made with this patch. It will sound much rougher than this patch though.

That patch looked like a lot of effort and the final result doesn't sound much like aah to me.

love the ribbon controler look like the "ondes marteneau" old school electronic stuff.

yeah, apparently they used the french connection to control the pitch of Thoms voice, which is pretty awesome!!!
This sounds a lot like the vocals on 'kid a' by radiohead. I know they also own one of those controllers. Maybe the output was then vocoded by thom?

The typical Radiohead artificial choirs seem to sound like classic Mellotron samples to my ear. Usually when you hear the French Connection or Ondes, you're listening for large trippy pitch sweeps.
That all isn't to say you might be right though, I'm just marking off the typical scenarios I hear in their music.
