Tony warming up the big JAP ready for a practice run. As they run down to the gate he has to turn it quickly to avoid the other outfit that failed to start. Since speedway machines have no brakes it means you have to keep your eyes open! Check the other clip to see how it goes around the track.
The bike is the ex-Len Burman sidecar from the 60s/70s and was one of the last big JAPs ..if not the last, to be run on tracks here in South Australia. It will be used in anger at the annual classic speedway event at Gillman in November. It is using a brand new replica engine built locally by me...Greg Summerton. Fingers crossed and we should see it take the race up to the Vincents for a change!
