The Tesla CD Turbine is a little home-made turbine made from CD's, CD spindle, supermagnets, and glue. This CD Turbine runs on faucet water pressure.

The Decision Maker is a simple game spinner, magnetically-coupled to the CD Turbine by 2 neodymium magnets glued to the pointer.

Turning on the faucet water pressure rotates the spinner. Turning off the faucet causes it to stop on one of the activities on the spinner card.

Pretty simple. Kids love it! So do I, hehe.
Watch as I take it for a spin ...

I always order magnets from:

  • lol , i don't think Tesla had thought of that one , awesome though to see it working , how much voltage and current did you get from it ?

  • When I hooked up a heater motor in reverse as a generator, I was only able to get a couple of watts out of this CD turbine. Most of the power of the faucet water pressure was used to overcome the turning resistance of the generator.

  • i just wonder actually and i am having a look at how big a tesla turbine would have to be to power a water electrolysis vat to make burning hydrogen , it would be an interesting concept if the two could be combined in some way ,

  • I agree that the two should be combined. One Tesla turbine could be used to generate the hydrogen, and with ceramic discs, another turbine could handle the heat of burning it.

I think the ultimate would be to have a hydrogen plasma based turbine, with magnetic fields involved. (see MT Keshe movies on radical new magnetic plasma theory at YouTube/watch?v=wtf5bp76ArE )

  • What the fuck is repel mode?

  • Hehe, repel mode is when the like poles of the magnets are facing each other. So the magnets don't stick and drag like in attract mode, but more push each other around instead.

Some of my other videos show a magnetic coupler, engaged with the turbine, that is always used in repel mode.
