is sarod significantly harder to learn than other instruments?

Sarod is actually supposed to be easier to play than many other instruments according to some people because eventhough it's difficult at the beginning,it gets easier once you learn for some years.On the other hand,every instrument is tough to learn,but sarod isn't significantly difficult....and if you love it ,it's even easier to learn how to play it once you master a basic sense of tune and rythmn.

@lovelylolola im a guitar player and a big music theory fan...heres my 2 cents on this... its not hard to learn an instrument. that being said its easy to learn to play songs but learning to play your instrument is TOTALLY different. learning to feel it, be it, believe in it, and actually put your own emotion into it while refining your own technique and playing style takes years. What you put into it...is what you get out of it

@TheRenegadeGuitar You are quite right...and one also has to have a basic inclination towards music in general and the instrument that s/he wishes to learn to play in particular, otherwise I've seen some people take years even to learn to play the basics.
