Badfinger "No Matter What" on the Midnight Special on March 2, 1973. Badfinger also performed "Suitcase" on the show. Lousy sound mix. This is one of the earliest Midnight Special shows.

  • Some one ,some where need's to make a movie about these guys, greed ,talent, and a tragic ending.....the BEATLES were getting screwd too but not as bad as Badfinger!!That guy Polly..jeez ..some people have no soul!!

  • The lackluster sound system for the show only proves why Badfinger is so great. They sounded awesome in spite of the sound mix.

  • Live! Crappy mix. STILL sounded GREAT! My favorite vocalists. Best melodies, only thing that hurt them (besides Poly) were that they could be a little weak on the lyrics at times. One of my favorite bands. Read "Without You" (their biography) if you want to hear about a true tragity in rock history. Bad management, stolen funds, living in near poverty with top 40 charted hits playing everywhere. It finally killed Pete and Tom.

  • This song and Badfinger still make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!!

  • A very under rated band too sad pete and tommy are not with us anymore

  • They play this badfinger music occasionally on the so called 'oldies' station-("oldies" my ass!)-more like LEGENDARY!

  • Hey, love the Maj7 chord ending! The record ends with the usual major chord in whatever key this is. Sorry my guitar is in storage.

  • Wow, recall flashback; on the radio twenty times a day;... only, almost forgotten.

  • Great tune!

  • @beatlestoneful What greed? are you british?? Well i am and a musician..These guy's got ripped off....End ov...

  • @IansWatch I hope so. It pisses me off that shows with those idiot judges like the X Factor are still pushing that RAP bullshit. They think they know what the public wants so they still hype it up. They have the power to bring back good music but they don't get it.

  • By '73 the sh*t was hitting the fan. No smiles, no fun. You can tell by just looking at them. If their manager was half as bad as they say, may he rot. Seems some ruined lives.
