@mindharvester Use a PSU calculator. Just do a search I'm sure you can find one easy online. For my setup which includes 2 6850s in crossfire it recommened 650w power supplies. I ended up going with a seasonic 750w tho just to have a little extra room.

@arinini99 did u use the crossfire bridge to connect the two, or did you just hook 1 in 1 slot and one in another..

My MSI motherboard requres me to install the card in two specific PCI-E slots when I operate them crossfire. Check your owners manual. Also how powerful is your power supply. I would guess it would behave a little differently if the power supply was the issue. Check the slots though

Thanks, I really wish there were more details. The charts are not very detailed and the only thing I learned was they run cool (which is good to know, but how cool?) What kinda amps are these things pulling together?
For PSU concerns google extreme outervision psu calculator.
BTW, I run one with a Antec NEO ECO 400C 400W PSU, which has a 30a 12v rail. It runs no problem. I am getting a 750w 62a 12v PSU for crossfire.
The 6870 also needs two PCI-E 6+2pin power connections
What happened to the music???
