Hot off the 396mile Scooter TT, Ernie Vigil and Nick Brocha along with 3 friends tackle an Iron Butt Association challenge, Border to Border Insanity. The task at hand was simple, cross over into Mexico, and in 24 hours or less cross into Canada some 1,400+ miles away. Due to scheduling conflicts Nick and Ernie were unable to start this journey from California. Instead Ernie started from Albuquerque, NM and picked up Nick at his start point, Las Vegas. So what happens when two professional freestyle riders travel over 2,358 miles without sleep or rest? Follow them as they lose their minds on a set of Triumphs to find out.

  • How were the Tiger headlights at night? Scary?

  • @markjrobbins Not at all. On the way home we rode over the Shasta pass at night and laid into the bikes. It's pitch black in a lot of the sweepers and it was really comfortable.

  • awesome ride! Thats a journey and a half! Are you guys going to be doing any events for SEMA in Nov?

  • @Mindgametwo We should be in Vegas for SEMA but I'm not sure if we're going to have a demo like last year. Hopefully it works out and we will!

  • You guys are fucking crazy lol where in bc did you go?

  • @nickapex Thats actually not that bad.....

  • So, how was the Scrambler comfort wise for this kind of trip?

  • @kevinrockwaytong I don't have an exact total, for the trip as NM-NV-CA was unaccounted for. But from TJ to Canada it was 9 gas stops at around 16 bucks per bike, roughly 300+/- round trip per bike.

  • WTF? It sounded like there was a car that followed you guys around and kept beeping it's horn while you're trying to film...

As for sleeping while riding - I would never have believed it if I didn't experience it myself. The most stupid thing I've ever done on a bike. Kept waking up in a panic imaging I'm running into the back of a flatbed truck...
