The people who state Minnie has no vocal control are biased non-musicians. A master like Charles Stepney would not have worked with a sub-par vocalist, Phyllis Hyman (a master stylist with control) said she learned about using range from Minnie. She blew Roland Rahshan Kirk's mind when he first heard her. Not to mention Minnie could do all this live, no studio wizardry necessary :) <3

at first i said to myself--"is that minnie's voice at the intro part? ahaha...lol"
then i watched the full vid,, i felt confused,, where's minnie's voice?where's the song?
is that her whistle? the whole song??(i mean the middle part of the whole vid)
btw--the latter part sounds kinda scary....

ok no need to compare minnie with mariah because they both have very unique gifts given to them that most singers do not NATURALLY posess. minnie came out before mariah and she always says that minnie was the influence for her whistle. minnie is amazing and came first, but mariah is freakishly amazing as well. mariah is inspired and minnie would be honored.
