man this intro gives me goosebumps! it so sets you up to want to explore further... why this game was considered a flop is beyond me. (as a game I mean, not the economics)

Scale is a bit off, lol. The asteroid was right next to Earth, and when placing unit alpha, they look high as hell in orbit over the rock.

It's not actually freeware. Sorry :/. But it is very, very cheap on Amazon.

I'm a totally noob at these things. I have Sam & Max Hit the Road on CD, what would you suggest to get the sound to play. Also, where do I find these things?

Sure, just do a google search for "ScummVM." It's a pretty simple program to figure out, just click on "add game" and then find the file where the game files are located. If you have any problems just PM me.
