Forget what Freud-might have said----------------------the 1950's 'look' was sublime feminity. Independent (take it or not)advice- from this middle aged but still red-blooded is 'women wear skirts n dresses to begin with-from flowing summer wear to business suits. Flat shoes without hosiery. Stockings by all means, but... No tights!-ever. The souless but presumably rich man who invented them ....should have a target on his head. MauriceAherne ex Dublin / mosaherne in 'google'

Just passing by here -to seek some solace and quiessence after a hectic time. The 1950's look -even for a non 'fashionista' (apologies to the left wing brave Sandanista rebels from which the word I presume derives)----is as near to perfection that fashion has ever reached or will.
