AlienAqtor - Refugee [2009]

Refúgio... Alguma forma de proteção... É o mote dessa produção feita originalmente em 2004, mas que só agora tem um vídeo ilustrativo.




Uma faixa bem curta, abstrata, entre sons enigmáticos/ ambient, e batidas quebrando em frenesi: "Refugee" volta agora à tona, como uma das faixas do futuro álbum "Máquinas Sacodem Tudo" do projeto AlienAqtor. Provavelmente estará no playlist numa versão levemente diferente desta, com alguns vocais e mais efeitos sonoros.

As imagens do vídeo são "regurgitações" de 4 pequenos filmes, feitos em câmera de celular [e de resolução bem baixa], pela cantora e artista performática Andréa Gimenez.




Quando ela me mostrou o resultado, eu sabia que ia poder encaixá-los em alguma de minhas produções. A "Refugee" foi a segunda música testada, e pareceu 'casar' perfeitamente com as imagens e "história" nelas contida.

Refugee... Some kind of protection... Is the concept behind this little production, originally done in 2004, which has now got its own illustrated version.




A very short, abstract track, sitting between enigmatic/ ambient sounds, and beats breaking into frenesi: "Refugee" gets now back to the surface, as one of the tracks from the [near] future album "Máquinas Sacodem Tudo" ["Machines Shake Everything"] from AlienAqtor project. It will probably be there on a slightly different version, with additional vocals and effects.

The images from the video come from 4 little movies, filmed through cellphones [on a very low resolution], by singer and artist Andrea Gimenez.




When she showed me the result, i knew they would fit on one of my productions. "Refugee" was the second song tested on it, and seemed to perfectly "embrace" the images.
