@Luger911 So much prejudice for any act that wasn't theirs, both UK&US. Abba did finally obliterate that stupid barrier-though not without a lot of hard work & bleeding uphill struggling against closed minds, but this still did NOTHING for any decent European act until the 90s when it didn't matter anymore cos all turned to shit (to say nothing of now). A-ha managed it for the 80s. Reality: any country is capable of talent (just like it is of tripe) & Sandra & Alphaville are 2 of the best.

@TheMjblades Hey, new account... True fact. Those singles are much more mature and already give us a teaser what was to come. Sandra is my favorite female singer(although Nina from The Cardigans is very close). I know about her for the same time too and as well I went to put my hands at her albums too. Kim Wilde is also a singer I like very much... But Sandra owns my heart ahahah. Yeah... UK and US(US more) sometimes are crazy....

@Luger911 Definitely-this & 'Ecstasy' defo sound like their best singles, lacking that earlier cheesy disco sound & rather trite lyrics at times, but her solo stuff blows me away. I'm a UK individual who only came to know of her 2 years ago-started with the greatest hits & was so impressed I immediately bought all her albums (as imports naturally) from her first right up to the 2009 one & have loved each one. She & Kim Wilde rock & the UK & US is crazy about all the wrong things!

An excellent song "Time to Say Goodbye" by Arabesque- it really grows on you when you listen to it a few times. Maybe it was their goodbye song since they split up.

Irony or not their last single said goodbye to Arabesque...BUT opened a new and much better career (for Sandra of course, can't compare the the trio Arabesque career or duo's Rouge career with Sandra's career...sorry)...So I guess there was a Good Thing they split :)) P.S. Sandra looks so hot in this pix...
