Birds live an ass-long time. Makes me wonder if that parrot was somehow The End's parrot... It' looks like an Amazon Parrot, and they live upwards of 100 years.

Most of the people, that dislike this part don't realize, that fooling the audience with the whole raiden-thing, as well as playing the game through raiden's eyes are integral parts of the concept of this game. The game itself is an example of what the story tells the player, it's like breaking the fourth wall on crack...Kojima is a genius.
