I really enjoyed this film. It shows you what you can do if you really put your mind to something...that's when you really appreciate and enjoy life. Saffron Burrows is gorgeous and amazing.

There's a 2003 Canadian/Spanish film that deals with the same subject matter way more realistically, with Mark Ruffalo, Sarah Polley & Deborah Harry. Its called My Life Without Me. It's about a hard-working 23-year-old mother with two small daughters, an unemployed husband, a jailed father whom she has not seen in ten years, & a mother who sees her own life as a failure...(cont'd)...

(cont'd)...She works nights as a janitor in a university she could never afford to attend, lives in a trailer in her mothers backyard, and has no aspirations. Her life changes dramatically when after a medical check-up she's diagnosed with endometrial cancer and has only 2 months to live. Deciding not to tell anyone of her condition, She makes a list of things to do before she dies. Very touching movie.
