  • Hi MacSimplifier.

I tried what you've suggested and it works, the only problem I'm having is that the solution only works for a minute or so and then I'm back to square one. Any thoughts?

Also, I've had my macbook for about 2 weeks now, this problem only showed up today, I did install an update to OSX 2 nights ago, but even since that it was working fine up until today.

  • @The351mustang My guess would be u need to reset the network settings coz it is altered from the inside which is y the solution lasts only for some time; try the following:

    turn off ur mac....then hold

Command + Option + P + R then the Power button; keep holding the four buttons (not power button) until the chime has sounded twice then let up on the four keys and wait till the mac boots up normally.

After that try the solution I suggested in the video; hopefully the problem will be solved :)

  • @satiskailash turn off ur mac....then hold

Command + Option + P + R then the Power button; keep holding the four buttons (not power button) until the chime has sounded twice then let up on the four keys and wait till the mac boots up normally.

  • Hi MacSimplifier. I just bought a new iMac with Lion and upon bringing it home, my Airport icon is greyed out and has an exclamation mark on it and as a result, I cannot get online. Any ideas ? I have other Mac devices at home (iPad, iPhone) and they are able to pick up the wi fi signal with no problems and I can get online. Please help of possible. I have powered off my router, restarted my iMac, turned off and back on Airport and bnothing has worked. Thank you in advance.

  • @Ciscoho I really cant get ur problem clearly but here is what I may suggest....

Perhaps u need to reset ur mac sleep parameters, may people face that problem when they buy a new mac.

To do that turn off ur mac....then hold

Command + Option + P + R then the Power button; keep holding the four buttons (not power button) until the chime has sounded twice then let up on the four keys and wait till the mac boots up normally. Plz reply back if this doesnt work :)

  • @TechNation95 I got it, unfortunately it did NOT work for me. I've tried everything I can think of to get my internet working reliably again and its just not connecting right. I'll try this, hopefully it will help. For some reason the update last week did absolutely nothing for me.

  • Thx for the support. A friend from Poland. Elo

  • This and the last update didn't work.

  • @mmmartin123 No, I have never heard of that. I just updated, and my Mac connected to Wi-Fi after waking from sleep perfectly just like it did back on Snow Leopard when there was no bug.

  • @TechNation95 I din't have any wifi connectivity issue but after the EFI Firmware update I have! That sucks! Anyone else experience this after update? grrrr.....

  • Apple just released an update fixing this issue, go to the apple icon, select software update, and install the update.
