Arctic sea ice has duped satellites into reporting thick multiyear sea ice where in fact none exists, a new study by University of Manitoba researcher David Barber has found.

"You are funny" after I explain to you that we are in an ice age.
To me that is exactly like someone that believes the earth is flat telling me I am funny.
So many people go about their lives oblivious to the world they live in.

@OxAO You are funny.

said, "We are warmer today than we have been in the past 600,000yrs! "
I read that study it tweaked at best. garbage in garbage out type report not worth even discussing here.
I know a lot of people use the term 'next ice age' but it is very confusing term for most.
What they really mean is 'next glaciation' because we have been in the present ice age for over 2 million years and not leaving it for most likely even longer.

@Viracocha711
There is an interglacial period and an interglacial optimum period which is self explanatory
The optimum period is much shorter and as such we are in the second longest interglacial optimum period in earth's history. The area out side the optimum period is very unstable farming and such would be very unstable to plant. We have another 2000 years to equal the longest interglacial optimum in earth's history. It is unlikely we will be record braking.

@OxAO You're getting a little closer to reality but U still have a ways to go. You are correct we should be heading into a 35,000yr cooling period ending in the next ice age but that is clearly not happening! We are warmer today than we have been in the past 600,000yrs! This main driver of this unprecedented warming is due to humans dumping nearly 30 GIGATONS of CO2 into the atmosphere each year! Where you get the earth was warmer 2000yrs ago I could only guess but it simply is NOT true!

Yes, 20,000 years ago was the middle of our glaciation period.
Given that we are in Holocene interglacial it only means it was colder then today but we are still well within the Quaternary Ice Age.
BTW - we are in the second longest interglacial optimum in Earth's history. As such means the we are nearing the end of our interglacial. Which means as you pointed out a -10c colder temperatures are coming.

@Viracocha711
Quaternary glaciation represents the entire glaciation period and as such we still have Ice caps which means we are in an interglacial period
It was warmer 2000 years ago then today. Our Holocene interglacial peeked about 3800 years ago and has been slowly dropping in temperature since. We are in a warmer then average part of our interglacial I will give you that much.

@OxAO Again, you are using a term you obviously do not understand what it means...Quaternary glaciation represents a period on Earth where there has been permanent ice sheets on the poles, Greenland & other places. Not only that but you claim the Earth is colder now than it has been in the Quaternary glaciation period! That means you think Earth is colder now than it has been for 2.58 MILLION years! Do you have any idea how ABSURD this claim is? HINT: Just 20,000yrs ago it was -10c colder!

Let me give you a hint. The earth's normal temperatures for the last few hundred million years this guy wouldn't have a job because there are no Ice caps.
As long as there are ice caps we are in an ice age and not expected to leave it for a few million of years.

Tell me we are NOT in the Quaternary Ice age.
Flat earthers piss me off
