First part is using a XY stereo micing setup positioned 8ft away from speakers, and panned hard L/R in mix.
Last section is just the mono handheld camera mic. Amazing how the sound stays consistent as I pan around.

  • I was very interested in van halen ou812 sounds with that detune in it for a long time now.

Could you please tell me what settings you had at the very last tone in the video

    starting at ca 1:06

It´s kinda close to it. I would even bet that eddie used exactly this preset, because he used the a bradshaw rack too with all that eventide and lexicon pcm80 stuff.

I´m quite not shure wether his detune came from the pcm80 or the eventide in 1988.

    Maybe you could help me.

    Thx

  • @Xxxx5150xxxX

    eddie used eventide micropitch shifting

i had the 1210 chorus, tc 2290 modulated delay, and lexicon hall delay working on that one,

egnater channel 3 with marshall drive box in front

  • is that the TC Electronic 1210's chorus effect @ 0:30seconds?

  • @FullmetalFan500 guitar > pre effects > preamp > fx processor > power amp > cabinet. (pre effects to poweramp is the rack setup) use speaker cables for poweramp to cabinet. all the rack units should be powered with a good power conditioner. what kind of gear are u using? heh i luv gearrr!

  • how do you connect rack gear to a amp?

  • @matabaldia

Thanks... It is very versatile, and I am very happy with it's performance.
