The X-Fringe

There's no denying that Fringe has a lot in common with The X-Files. In fact, they probably exist in the same fictional universe (see Fringe 2x01, where the subcommittee tells Broyles "...the old 'X' designation and your Fringe investigations have been indulgences in the federal budget for over half a century").

The visual references to XF are obvious. I'm a huge fan of both shows, so I re-cut the X-Files opening credits using only clips from Fringe.

The truth is out there: there's more than one of everything.

Amazing! I particularly love that you managed to get a shot of Peter and Olivia with guns/torch. Also, the ghost thing on the monitor was a nice touch. Awesome stuff!

Hate to be "that guy", but since an episode of "The X-Files" is clearly playing on a TV in an episode of Fringe, it's obviously just a show in that universe. The "X Designation" was a not too subtle nod, not a suggestion Mulder & Scully are running around in the world of Fringe.

Great job - brilliant to find so many of the same shots. Fringe's parallel's with the X-Files don't just stop at the fourth wall, tragically, and I remain trepidatious about whether and when it will go to shit. It broke my heart when the X-Files did.
