  • I don't know of too many experienced harp-playing adults who can even come close to hanging with John Popper, but this kids keeps up with him NOTE. FOR. NOTE!!! Unbelievable. LD Miller is beyond gifted on harp. He is John Popper's heir-apparent.

  • take away the effects, and it will sound not sound that "awesome" as you all say. I mean the kid, not popper. If you listen very closely, the kid is always playing the same riff over and over and over (and over you know it ;) ) ... this harmonica effect just makes it so "special", and he is not playing clear at all. POPPER WINNING! KID WEAK!(thats how Charlie Sheen would say it) ;)

  • @leo1m00n TECHNICAL SKILL IS A PARLOR TRICK?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! that's why nobody respects harmonica players. listen to howard levy. listen to jason ricci. tell me that's a parlor trick you fucking idiot

  • This kid is hangin' with JOHN POPPER!!!???? Are you friggin' kiddin' me!!??? Oh, he's got it!!

  • @ArtofDreaming1 I couldn't agree more with you, bro. John Popper and Sugar Blue are two of the greatest harmonica players who've ever lived. And this kid L.D. Miller is well on his way. When I first heard LD play, it's like John Popper's spirit was in him. You just can't learn that! Either you have it or you don't, and that kid's got it in spades!!!

  • I hate when blues people criticize popper, He's an extremely good harp player period and deserves respect it ain't no parlor trick. I know people who think sugar blue sucks it's all bullshit. Don't say shit till you can play as well as these guys

  • @mjbab73 , Technical skill is a parlor trick. LD has tone (Popper's is thin and reedy), and loads of soul and feel. Popper is an acrobat, and a good one. But music isn't about how many notes you can play in a measure, it's more about what you can get out of a single note. C'mon JP, pick a note and get to know it.

  • @blueharp1 Not quite...He may be one day, but Popper is still much more technically skilled. Check out them doing Home On The Range together...Popper's better acoustically or mic'd.

  • im a harp player too! I have just recently turned 14 and the harp is one of the coolest instuments to learn, but u have to have the feeling to play it, its not somthing anyone can teach you (although many have tried) you cannot get the same soul that the ORIGINAL harp players (Little Walter, Junior Wells, Howlin' Wolf, and many others) had! I know this sounds cheesey but music is like the force. use it how u want and the feel will come!

  • LD is a far better player than JP. Just sayin'....
