Last flight of my Challenger Ultralight

On Apr. 26th, 2009 my Challenger Ultralight was destroyed in a thunderstorm at the Brampton, ON, Canada airport. Ironically, on Apr. 25th I went up for a few circuits with my video camera. As a tribute to "My Baby" i made this little movie. Hopefully it gives you a little taste of why I love to fly so much.
I named her "Carpe Caelum" - seize the sky!

hey man,sorry to hear about your plane. Saw pics of the devastation up your way a while back. Nothing worse than not being able to fly in your own plane eh! I am going through that stage stillllllllllllllll!!!

what engine did you have in this superbly flying plane? I am about to buy a use challenger with a 503 and I hope it's gona fly like yours.

Earlier you commented that you didn't have a hangar. How did you store it?

I bought it already built. If I had a hangar I would buy another. It was great fun and cost very little to fly.

Sorry to hear about your loss! It is an amazing video, and it went streight to my fav's. Im hoping to get my first ultralight in the spring :) I trully hope you find a way to a new one for yourself :)

Unfortunately it wasn't insured, so I'll have to wait a few years till I can afford another airplane. Glad you all enjoyed the video.
