It might not be available in the game anymore since the lore has changed now a bit concerning the sword. I'll have to check it out myself.

I just checked again and it still works. If you go in there and they are just standing around, hang out for like 2-4 mins. Walk out and head towards the church across from the tavern.  If you see Mograin say "Shh-strangers are about" then they are starting the sequence.

You can't do them anymore. Naxx 40 is long dead and that's where the corrupted one dropped.

It WAS a very rare drop from the Four Horseman naxx 40, level 60 pre-bc. There WAS an event depicting the lore, where Darion Mograine, recently claimed the corrupted ashbringer, went to Scarlet Monastery to confront his brother about their fathers murder. This is when their fathers soul was released from the Ashbringer. Quote:

"'Please father... Forgive me! I knew not-.."

*Father kills him*

"You are forgiven"
