  • It seems the lighting on the walls is not affected by the apple. Also, what is precomputed and what is not?

  • Good eye, I really should have specified. The room's lighting is precomputed with GTKRadiant's lightmapper. An array of irradiance maps is built for the environment on load (beginning of video). This irradiance map array is stored as an array of SH terms and used to light the apple.

  • very impressive, i'm just curious of what you're doing in the prepass... are you generating (raytracing) the light probes as well or is it only the SH coefs you're calculating? sounds (and looks) very similar to irradiance volumes using SH ... thanks
